In Telangana 243 Farmers Committed Suicide, govt releases compensation of Rs.14.8 Crore.

The Telangana government on Thursday issued a total compensation of Rs 14.58 crore of towards payment of ex gratia to families of 243 farmers who committed suicide due to a bad period.

The highest farmer suicide was announced in Nalgonda (45) Khammam (32) accompanied by Sangareddy (20), as per government data. According to NCRB State/UT-wise data on the number of suicides committed by farmers/cultivators during the year 2015. 

Each family will receive a compensation of Rs 6 lakh, according to the order.

After careful examination of the thing, the government administration ministrative sentence for an amount of Rs 14.58 crore to the Commissioner for Relief.”

Not only Telangana Farmers, but also different states of farmers committed suicide due to the bad season.

Maharashtra 3,030 farmers Committed Suicides, Karnataka 1,197, Madhya Pradesh 581, Chhattisgarh 854, Andhra Pradesh 516, 6 States together reported 94.1 per cent of the total farmer/cultivators suicides (7,536 out of 8,007 suicides) in the nation during 2015.
