India seriously requires another finance minister, says Congress after Nirmala Sitharaman’s press conference.

Congress has reached out massively against Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for her approach of the Indian economy and her statement that despite the global slowdown, India’s growth is higher than China and the US. Congress said the country needs a new finance minister.

The Congress answered this in response to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s press conference and her approach and the Information about Indian economy.

Senior Congress leader Sanjay Jha in a tweet said, “India needs a new finance minister desperately. The distinguished lady [Nirmala Sitharaman] says India’s GDP growth rate is higher than that of the US and China. But Madam, the US is a $21 trillion and China $ 14.8 trillion economy. Do you even recognise what ‘base levels’ indicate? We are at $2.8 trillion.”
